We are a small, family run Kennel located outside of Eganville/Golden Lake Area of the Upper Ottawa Valley. We specialize in providing direct one on one care to your furry friend, while you are away.

We too are dog owners and would want the best, but resonably priced, care for our pets while away, as it can be a very stessful time for a pet.

Breed Specific Legislation

Randy Hillier, MPP for Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, has forwarded a bill to stop the genocide of "Pit Bulls". You can get more info here and here.

The current law does not clearly define a pit bull, nor is it enforced equally across the province as pit bulls are not an acknowledged breed. What we need is Responsible Dog Ownership, not a death sentence against dogs that "look" dangerous.

The bill has support across all three provincial political parties.

Another great organization - The Dog Legislation Council of Canada (DLCC)

The objectives of The DLCC are two fold:

• First is the promotion and support of responsible dog ownership. This includes child dog safety programs, bite free programs for adults working in proximity of dogs (police, post office) and working with dog owners one on one.


• Second is to encourage and foster the implementation of non-breed specific dangerous dog by-laws. Non-breed specific dangerous dog by-laws designate dogs as 'dangerous' based on behaviour rather than breed. These by-laws allow for more efficient animal control without pointlessly punishing responsible dog owners. They address concerns with dog aggression and recognize the role of human negligence behind most incidents.
